Easy Steps to a Great New Year's Toast

When the new year begins, do you make (then break) resolutions?

Rather than set an intention to achieve something, I like to follow Executive Mom Nest advisor and wedding planner Neela Asaadi's advice to start my new year right.

3 Tips to Toast a New Year

Toast a New Year Celebration

Past:

Offer a small "tip of the hat" to all you are grateful for from this past year. Is there something unexpected that happened that you feel lucky to have experienced?

Present:

Take a moment to thank those around you, right here right now. This moment is a gift and being present is a blessing.

Future:

Look ahead into what is to come! How do you want to kickstart the year and how do you plan to show up for yourself and for others.

Successful toasts should be heartfelt and sincere, but they needn't be long or boring. Celebrating the past, thinking of the present, and looking ahead are the only things that you need to remember to offer a great toast.

Happy New Year!
