The Research Is Clear: Gratitude Builds Better Teams

Every November, I find myself reflecting on the small, everyday moments that make leadership meaningful: the mentor who checks in “just because,” or the pause before a big meeting when someone says, “Thanks for making this happen.”

These moments often slip by unnoticed, but they’re powerful. Gratitude, especially in the workplace, creates connection. It fuels trust, strengthens collaboration, and builds the kind of culture where people show up fully, not because they have to, but because they want to.

Gratitude in Action

At REVEL COACH, we see this firsthand in our team workshops. When leaders intentionally pause to recognize their people, not just for what they do, but who they are, teams communicate better, collaborate more naturally, and build momentum that lasts.

So as we head into the holidays, I encourage you to practice gratitude with intention. Write the note. Say the thank-you. Celebrate progress.

And what you’ll start to notice is that gratitude creates growth.
